John Keahey is a veteran journalist who worked for wire services and newspapers for 35 years and 15 years in the corporate public-relations world. He has history and marketing degrees from the University of Utah and spends as much time as possible in Italy and Sicily. He lives in Salt Lake City with book designer Connie Disney.

What's next?
John is traveling to northern Italy for a multi-month stay in western Tuscany. His new book, to be published by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press, will delve into this little-known part of one of Italy's best-known regions. A lot is written about Florence, Siena, et. al., farther to the east. But Tuscany's far west, with its own unique culture and stories, gets short shrift among modern Italy-based travel narratives. The new book, with its title yet to be discovered, is expected out in late spring/early summer 2014.
